Vivekachudamani of Sri Shankaracharya
This book Adi Shankara’s Vivekachudamani (The Crest Jewel of Discrimination) is a cornerstone of Advaita Vedanta. While Shankara’s primary commentaries on the Prasthana Traya are technically complex, he authored Prakarana Granthas—introductory treatises—to make these profound truths accessible to everyday seekers. Comprising 580 verses, it features a dialogue between a Guru and a disciple regarding the human condition and the path to liberation (Samsara). Unlike standard translations, this volume is enriched by the personal insights of Swami Turiyananda, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and a Jivanmukta (liberated soul). It aims to guide the reader toward "marvellous peace and certainty" through clear, undiluted spiritual wisdom.
