The Charm and Power of the Upanishads
This book from Advaita Ashrama (1990) introduces a second edition of the lecture The Charm and Power of the Upanisads by Swami Ranganathanandaji. The Power of the Upanisads: It begins with a quote from Swami Vivekananda, likening the Vedanta to a "lion-roar" that scatters the "foxes" of fear and hatred. The publishers explain that the Upanisads whisper profound truths, such as "Tat tvam asi" (That thou art), which help individuals unfold the infinite possibilities hidden within themselves. Originally delivered as a lecture and published in Kolkata in 1966, the work had long been out of print. This edition was released to make these spiritual insights accessible once more.
