The Art of Meditation
In this book "The Art of Meditation," Swami Vivekananda describes meditation as the ultimate tool for spiritual growth. He defines it as a state where we shed material attachments to experience our innate divine nature without needing any external assistance.
Meditation is a journey inward that requires no outside help; it is the mind engaging with itself. It provides a rare moment where the Soul is free from matter, allowing for a "marvellous touch" of one’s true essence. One must conserve energy by avoiding idle talk and remaining undisturbed by the external world. Paradoxically, when the mind reaches its peak spiritual state, one becomes unconscious of the process itself.
