Sri Ramakrishna, Our Refuge
This book highlights the vital role of Swami Ramakrishnananda (born Shashi) in the early Ramakrishna Movement. Swami Vivekananda famously remarked that life in the monastery would have been "impossible" without him. After spending eleven years devotedly serving his brother disciples at the Baranagore Math in Calcutta, Shashi moved to Madras (Chennai) at Vivekananda's request. Over the next fourteen years, he worked tirelessly as a pioneer in South India, delivering lectures and traveling extensively to spread the message of Vedanta and Sri Ramakrishna. His dedication led to the establishment of major Math centers in Chennai and Bangalore, while laying the foundations for others in cities like Mysore and Mumbai. He is remembered for his deep spirituality, scholarship, and unwavering faith.
