Sri Krishna Yoga
The book Sri Krishna Yoga is a compilation of lectures delivered at MIT and across the USA by Swami Sarvagatananda, a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order. The book explores the teachings of Yoga as presented by Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, preserving the original "question-and-answer" sessions for depth.
Defining Yoga as the act of "joining" oneself to God, the note highlights four primary paths: Karma, Bhakti, Raja, and Jnana Yoga. Central to this work is Swami Vivekananda’s observation that before the Gita, these paths were often seen as conflicting. Sri Krishna’s unique contribution was harmonizing these diverse sects into a singular, reconciled spiritual framework centered on selfless action.
