Panchikaranam of Sri Shankaracharya
This book is a translated edition of Sri Sankara’s "Panchikaranam" along with a Varttika (explanatory verse commentary) by his disciple, Sri Suresvara. "Panchikaranam" is a concise work representing the quintessence of the Upanishads, similar in theme to the Mandukya Upanishad. The commentary aims to explain the original text, fill in omissions, and correct any potential misinterpretations through 64 clarifying slokas. It presents the theoretical aspect of the One Reality and provides a practical method for realizing one’s identity with it using the symbol AUM. The book is dedicated to Swami Jagadanandaji Maharaj, a revered teacher of Advaita Vedanta who frequently recommended these texts to beginners.
