Meditation According To Vedanta
In this book Swami Vivekananda highlights a fundamental paradox of human consciousness: the Atman (the true Self) is the most intimate part of our being, yet it is often the most overlooked because of its proximity. A restless, careless mind is too distracted by external stimuli to recognize the subtle presence of the Self . Success in self-realization requires a mind that is alert, calm, and self-restrained.By practicing discrimination and consciously withdrawing attention from the external world, one can "dive" into the inner world. This inward journey allows a person to realize their inherent divine glory and achieve true greatness.
