This book titled "The Indian Vision of God as Mother,"  originates from a lecture delivered by Swami Ranganathananda, then Vice-President of the Ramakrishna Math.

The lecture was originally presented in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and later serialized in the journal Prabuddha Bharata between August and October 1991.

The book highlights the Swami’s "lucid and thought-provoking" exposition of the Divine Mother. It concludes with a prayer that readers connect with the Divine Mother, described as an ever-present, living "mother-heart" within all individuals, characterized by infinite love and compassion.
